Commons provides full-featured to-do lists that can be created by group organizers to help organize and track tasks that the group wants to accomplish. To-Do content can be created from the "Create content" block on the group's home page.

A group can have more than one To-Do content item, but one is typically enough for most well-focused project groups. You can navigate to your To-Do content from the group navigation pane in the left column. To-Do content will also appear with other group content under the 'All' tab. These links may not appear if there is no group To-Do content and you don't have the permission to create them within the group. Like other content, To-Do content may be saved as a draft in 'unpublished' status until you're ready to share it with your audience.

To-Do content is created like any other content. The item has a containing group, an audience and a list summary that appears in teasers.

By default, a To-Do content item is created as group-editable -- if you want to control the management of task lists and tasks, you can uncheck the group edit box. Other members of your group will then no longer be able to add to, edit or complete tasks.
